I can’t wait to introduce my son to the series! Well done to both the authors. This was an epic conclusion! I feel like this book is perfect for eight- to twelve-year-olds. I appreciate noting that heroes have feelings and sometimes stop and can’t go on. I loved that when something horrible happened to him, he acted as a normal human would react even though he’s a hero in a fantasy book. It was a cool point of view I don’t see in many books.Īlcatraz was fantastic. I also appreciated that this is her writing about it as an adult after it happened. It took me a little bit to get used to it because it’s so different, but I liked it. I laughed at the times she spoke to the readers directly. This caused major problems for him and Bastille as they are trying to save the world from being vaporized.īastille is hilarious.
